When you double hit your shot, add two strokes and hit from the position where the ball stopped.
Although a double hit seems to be impossible unless it is intentional, but it actually is not. It sometimes happens in roughs, near OB zones, in bunkers and so on.
There may be a bush in front of the ball which is out of the fairway. Hitting a ball which is very close to the OB zone may hit a bush or a stake and bounce back. Also, a ball may hit the edge of the bunker, bounce back and hit somewhere on the club.
If there are obstacles right in front of or very close to the player, it is easy to feel the pressure. The player’s tension gets to the club which may disturb the aim and course a double hit. Such a pressure gets to the club which may disturb the aim and course a double hit.
