In 2003, a cute character which is based on a motif of a black woodpecker was created.It was named PACKEY which was chosen through a naming campaign that was open to public.
Today, PACKEY has spread nationwide as a character of park golf, and is used in various scenes of park golf such as flags and tournament programs.
The birth of Kumagera (black woodpecker) mark
The black woodpecker mark was created in 1987. It is the image character of Park Golf.
Following is the story of the birth of the black woodpecker.
The reason that it became a woodpecker is … Because hitting a wooden ball with a wooden club.
